Thanks for the jolly reaction! I can't let slide how the adaptation did Renly dirty. In the books, he's a skilled knight, strong and charming and well-liked by the commonfolk. Here, they characterized him as 'gay = weak', which is reprehensible, not to mention sloppy writing. Arya being mistaken for a boy is from the books where she's not at all as pretty as Maisie Williams. Also she dresses like a boy, and isn't ladylike.

Game of Thrones has a lot in common with House of the Dragon, of course, but even though HotD is very good, it didn't resonate with me as much. Partly because it was even more messed up and gross than GoT, but mostly because none of the characters were particularly likeable and that's something of a deal-breaker for me. I'm really enjoying your reactions though; you give me a giggle :)

Respectfully, i disagree with your take on Sam and boys/men like him, cuz id like to think not all boys born in this time were warriors. But i get what you mean from the fathers perspective, however, the father couldv handled his disappointment in his son with a little more fatherly love and compassion. Also, maybe he (father) caused Sam to be this way by being abusive whether physical or emotional🤷‍♀️. Ned wouldn't have stood a chance against Jaime. The show made it look better, but Ned's not a very good fighter. Jaime's literally the best fighter in all of Westeros at this point, and Martin made it clear he was playing with Ned for fun. That's why he knocked out the guy who interfered, because he was having fun.
